BROWNIE POINT WORTHY VALENTINES GIFTS
So, we’re now one month down in 2018 (hurrah, I hear you say!) and we have the next global commercial phenomenon fast approaching, guys and gals it’s time to score a brownie point or two and get organised! Valentine’s Day is only a week and a half away and if you’ve not got organised yet then worry not, I have the perfect suggestions to keep you on pole position on the leader board with those all-important brownie points! Just to note, I’m not one for red/pink (unless they’re also known as rose gold – top brownie point achiever!) and therefore I promise not to feature any of that cheesy cliched stuff!
1. An Abbott Lyon eternal love Timepiece
Abbott Lyon fuses the simplicity of modern, timeless, practical timepieces with that splash of luxury and exclusivity. The company sells jewellery as well as watches and offers an engraving service as well as beautiful gift wrapping. Many of the styles come in a variety of mix and match strap styles and dial faces also come in a couple of sizes. So, if you want to make a statement with your timepiece or prefer a more delicate option for teeny wrists, you’ll have plenty to choose from at Abbott Lyon. Another reason why this is a winner for me is that Abbott Lyon watches and jewellery are truly everyday wear pieces so you don’t have to save them up for special occasions as they combine affordability with a dash of luxe.
2. A Lat and Lo reminder of where you anchored your love
Lat & Lo are based in states (but ship worldwide) and have the market sussed for a truly beautiful personalised gift of jewellery. The difference being here is that they engrave latitude and longitude co-ordinates onto their jewellery pieces which are personal to you. The brand marketing tag line is, Where are you anchored? The jewellery comes in a number of finishes such as silver, 9ct gold, rose gold and comes beautifully packaged in a velvet jewel bag encapsulated in a ribbon tied box. I know how us girls like to be presented with a delightfully packaged gift and how (listen up gents!) there’s a different brownie point league table for this!
Dr C recently gifted me the rose gold bracelet for my birthday which he had engraved with the co-ordinates of Havana, Cuba (where I spent my birthday). Trust me, he scored big time brownie point for this! Especially as he had it match beautifully to my Abbott Lyon watch!
3. Luxurious leather goods by Aspinal of London, for your travel savvy lover
For all you loves of classic luxury leather goods, there is nothing better than arriving to the airport lounge with a buttery soft passport cover, luggage tags or even a document holder for that carefully organised trip away. Maybe even that Valentine’s city break! Aspinal of London offer a variety of colours and finishes on their travel collection and it also includes free embossing. The browning-points scoring made super easy!. I’ll tell you why this present is going to be a brand that will just keep on giving….Aspinal do co-ordinating items such as small purses, card holders etc. so you can keep adding to the collection in the future! My personal favourite is the Burgundy Saffiano travel collection pictured below, personalised with my initials. It seems I’m one of the only few who wasn’t given an embarrassing middle name, as I don’t have one at all!
4. Safe storage (courtesy of Victoria Green) of your beautifying treats for the hottest date night of the year.
One of my favourites for trips away from home and away is the pretty collection of washbags and cosmetic cases invented by the talented Victoria Green. A lady after my own heart and probably many of you ladies out there will agree with me, that sometimes it’s just too difficult to travel light without all your favourite products! The cleverly invented bags fold away and can be easily accessed with the hanging feature and what’s more they can house full-sized products and believe me lots of them! The bags are 100% waterproof, I’ve even tried them in the high humidity of the Costa Rican rainforests and I can vouch no condensation in sight! What’s more is that now I just use them year-round as they look so pretty and accessorise the bathroom at home so well. That way, no need to refill for every trip and for us frequent travellers, that is a big fat BONUS! My current investment is the ‘starflower’ hanging traveller washbag and cosmetic case.
5. Express your affection with petit treats from Oliver Bonas
Now, Oliver Bonas is my gift go-to place! I actually just love everything on their website but amongst some of my faves are the alphabet accessories and card holders, which come in handy on trips or events where you don’t fancy taking your larger everyday purses! Oliver Bonas, actually have a whole load of valentines gifts over on their website so why not go and take a peruse as I guarantee there is something to take your fancy!
6. Frame those city break moments of amore with 15% off a photoshoot with
Alberto Sarrantonio Photography.
Last but not least, something that will never grow old. Ever considered taking your loved one on a city break to Florence? Well why not make the occasion extra special by capturing some of your moments in the city with a photoshoot with Alberto sarrantonio. I can vouch his unique style, passion for photography and non-invasive, relaxed, jovial approach will leave you with the most exquisite memories with your loved one. I’m going to have to admit, this is probably one of my top brownie-point scorers when I first suggested it to Dr C!
To enquire and book, please contact Alberto directly at email@example.com and quote be-lavie15 to receive 15% off your photoshoot package. This offer will remain redeemable for my readers, in the future months so please bear this in mind if you are planning a city break.
A small point to note, just incase my suggestions seem a little orientated around the special lady in your life, worry not as, Abbott Lyon, Lat & Lo, Aspinal of London, and Oliver Bonas do gifts for both men and women. Of course the photoshoot is unisex!
OK so there you have it, no excuse to forget that special someone in your life this valentine’s Day. It’s over to you now, tell me if you’ve purchased your brownie point scorer or are you still perusing? I hope my ideas are useful and remember not to let the cat out of the bag in the comments below!
