SWEET DELIGHTS AT HEAVENLY DESSERTS, LOUGHBOROUGH
Last Updated on 13th December 2019 by Bejal
When it comes to dessert parlours, I have to say I’m not a regular offender but I’d heard fantastic things about Heavenly Desserts based on London Road. It was for that reason, that when I was invited to the launch of Heavenly Desserts in Loughborough, I felt it was high time for me experience the dessert loving company in sampling their creations.
The company was founded in Birmingham back in 2002 and started its expansion back in 2012. Within a few years the brand has grown with stores throughout the UK including one just around the corner from me in Leicester, although I admit I have never paid it a visit!
Heavenly desserts hail their sweet treat collection, well actually we’re talking a menu, which I’d call a full on book of over 40 pages. The delights created and well thought out by a team of Artisan inventors. The chocolate is sourced from chocolatiers in Belgium and all creations are described as innovative and offer the customer a luxurious and lingering impression of taste, style and creativity.
The Loughborough premises is housed in a beautiful old building and upon entry you see the large serving counter in front of you, surrounded by a row of more intimate booth seats and a few tables scattered tactfully in the remaining space.
We were seated in one of the booths and presented with the impressive menu within minutes. If you are a dessert connoisseur I kid you not, you will seriously be spoilt for choice with options ranging from cakes, waffles in all varieties, gluten free options, sundaes and Gelatos. Additionally there are hot drinks in every variety and milkshakes.
I decided to choose the Nutella Belgian waffle, mainly due to its manageable size and the fact that chocolate and nuts make a supreme combination for my palette. I can safely report it most certainly was the flavours and textures I had envisaged and the perfect size if you are not a fan of the epic size of the American waffles. The light golden waffle was served with layers of Nutella and chopped nuts. Beside it lies a scoop of Heavenly hazelnut gelato.
Dr C ordered a caramel café de Vanilla, which contained a shot of coffee enriched with scoops of velvety white soft vanilla Gelato, cool milk, cream, caramel sauce and syrup.
He accompanied that with bite size chocolate brownies and scoops of chocolate Gelato.
Other selections on our influencers table included, chocolate cookie dough with cream, chocolate and strawberry Belgian waffles, American Nutella waffles and a gluten free chocolate cake.
As well as sampling a huge choice of desserts, you can also purchase a number of handmade items and gifts. Heavenly Desserts stock luxury handmade chocolates, including signature collections as well as premium teas and drinking chocolate. My personal favourite gift was the baking jars, which contain all the ingredients (selection includes lemongrass, earl grey, ginger, vanilla rooibos and lots more!) to rustle up your own bakes such as caramel salted blondies and double chocolate brownies to mention a couple.
If it’s a luxurious tasting dessert experience you’re looking for then Heavenly Desserts is most definitely for you. I will just share that launch day was a little chaotic and there were a few mix-ups with orders on our table, some of which in my opinion were unacceptable without apology! The desserts were delicious but the customer service experience requires a little attention. Just don’t do it again guys!!
I was a guest of Heavenly Desserts, Loughborough in exchange for this honest post. All opinions, views and photography are my own and remain a copyright of be-lavie.

Beautiful read and nice attention to detail. I loved my Belgium waffle- don’t think I have had a dessert so quick. Must be the combination of the smell and the midday hunger. I don’t mind luxury desserts but it’s not something I do often- give me a pub sticky toffee pudding and I will be happy x

NehaThankyou. Yes I enjoyed the Belgian waffle too! I’m sure it will be a great addition to Loughborough as they don’t seem to have anything like it.
