THREE DELICIOUS DINING OPTIONS IN POSITANO
Last Updated on 13th March 2024 by Bejal
During our three night stay in the cliff-top hideaway of Positano (be sure to check out my top 5 day trips from Positano), dining options were obviously a high priority and with so many delicious options to choose from, we decided to pick from a varying range. A Michelin-Starred restaurant, La Sponda, A mid-range fine dining meal at our hotel, Villa Positano (catch up on the full review here) and a beach front restaurant and bar, L’incanto.
1LA SPONDA
La Sponda is the Michelin-starred restaurant in the stunning Le Sirenuse hotel, with stunning beach views. The restaurant is utterly romantic and incredibly charming as by night, 400 candles are lit every evening to delight their diners.
The Executive Chef Gennaro Russo, combines his French training with using local ingredients to produce truly exquisite Neapolitan dishes inspired by traditional recipes.
This illuminated romance and cuisine is truly Positano’s version of La Dolce Vita.

2 LI GALLI
Located at Hotel Villa Franca, just through a serene space over looking the crystal like glowing waters of the coast, where the sky meets the coastline, sits Hotel Villa Franca’s sublimely mouth watering restaurant Li Galli.
The kitchen is headed by the hotels executive chef, Vincenzo Esposito and his team. Vincenzo worked closely with Michelin starred chef, Gennaro Esposito to skilfully prepare an innovative yet in keeping with the area and its local ingredients. The result is just sensational. Dr C and I enjoyed an evening meal at Li Galli. The restaurant is quaint, small, and incredibly stylish, with service that is so on point but the food, well that is just in a league of its own.
You can read all about the dining experience in my Hotel Villa Franca Review, but in the meantime here are some teasers to get those taste-buds tantalising!

3 L’INCANTO
If it’s beach vibes you want, then look no further. L’incanto is located right beside the beach, has a beach, a beach club and a bar so just take your pick. They serve tasty, casual food including plenty of delicious sea food dishes, Mediterranean flavours, a huge selection of good quality wines and some pretty sweet treats, sure to temp you. All this with the view of the beach before you and the Positano cliffs around you.
We spent an unusually stormy night at the restaurant and comfort food was our priority after visiting Pompeii so we polished off a very delicious Pizza, which went perfectly with an Aperol Spritz and wine. If you’re spending the day at the beach then this is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or refreshing drink.

Yum yum yum – love the array of restaurants you have picked. A lot of elegant food and a bit of classic pizzas. I know I don’t need to do any research when I eventually go there – just need to look at your blog x

LauraI have to admit that my favourite presentation was Li Galli but they did all taste amazing. Plus the candle light is very romantic in la Sponda but not so good for photography!!
